EXPERIENCED NEW YORK TRIAL LAWYERS READY TO FIGHT FOR YOU
In the courtroom, experience matters. The lawyers at Maduegbuna Cooper, LLP have extensive experience handling complex pro bono matters throughout the United States. One such pro bono project spanned more than a decade (1999 to 2010 and was contested in three different federal jurisdictions – New York, Washington D.C. and Georgia. The case was initially commenced in New York, and it later involved appeals to the Second, Eleventh and D.C. Circuits of the United States Court of Appeals. See: Drake v. F.A.A. , 291 F.3d 59 (D.C. Cir., 2002) certiorari denied 537 U.S. 1193, U.S., Feb. 24, 2003 ; Drake v. Laboratory Corporation of America; 458 F3d 48 (2d. Cir., 2006); Drake v. William H. Whaley., 355 Fed. Appx. 315 (11th Cir., 2009);
Our efforts on Pro Bono matters led a U.S. District Judge to quip: “counsel has gone above and beyond the obligations of his initial [pro bono] appointment on his client’s behalf “. Drake v. Laboratory Corporation of America, Docket No.: 02-cv-1294; U.S. D.C., Eastern District of New York; Memo and Order dated September 3, 2010.
On another occasion, the same District Judge noted that “in the best tradition of the profession, Drake’s counsel accepted a pro bono assignment and zealously advocated for his client’s interests”. Drake v. Laboratory Corporation of America, Docket No.: 02-cv-1294; U.S. D.C., Eastern District of New York; Memo and Order dated March 4, 2010.
